Scouting Codes



ALPHABET CODE 1 (AZ CODE)
This code is used when you have this clue:
A = Z ; M = N ; H = S
And this is the key how to interpret the code!


Example:  WRIVXG GL DVHG DRGS ZOO UIRVMWH
Means : DIRECT TO WEST WITH ALL FRIENDS

ALPHABET CODE 2 (AN CODE)
This code is used when you have this clue:
A = H ; G = N ; T = Z
And this is the key how to interpret the code!

Means : FUN WITH US

NUMBER CODE
This code is used when you have this clue:
A = 1 ; T = 20 ; Z = 26
and this is the key how to interpret the code!
 
Ex : 23 5 1 18 5 2 18 9 7 8 20 5 5 14 19
Means : WE ARE BRIGHTEENS

CHINESE CODE
This code is actually just scratches which are shaped like Chinese writing, thus people named it by Chinese code. This code uses the principle of number code, where every scratch represents a number which can be translated into a letter.
This code is used when you have this clue: 

 


Example :

Means :  “Adikku tolong tuliskan Tri Satya secara lengkap”

READING CODE :
This code is about the way of reading sentences with unordinary way, and the unordinary way is expressed by the instruction given.
example:
The instruction : you need to bring this code to Niagara Falls to break it!

The answer: I LIKE SCOUTING MORE THAN ANYTHING (Read vertically from up to down)

REVERSE CODE 1 (AH CODE)
This code is used when you have this clue:
A = H ; G = N ; T = Z
And this is the key how to interpret the code!

Example : QL HXL GLRZ NLGLXHZBUG
Means : WE ARE NEXT GENERATION
 
TIME CODE
This code is started by an instruction. Such as : 07.00 = A, 07.05 = B, 08.00 = M
It means the order of letters change every five minute of the time. Remember : The range of time might be different based on the clue given.

Example :
TALK TIME
07.35 – 07.00 – 08.00
07.00 – 07.30 – 08.10 – 08.10 – 07.15
07.05 – 08.10 – 09.00

Means : I AM A GOOD BOY

COORDINATE CODE
This code is started by an instruction.  To find the key, you need to draw the map of coordinate which is formed by two five lettered words, such as : GRAPE CANDY. To break the code u need to draw the coordinates like the following :

CODES USING PRINCIPLE OF MORSE CODE


Morse code, as you have understood in How to Understand Morse Code Easily, sometime applied to other types of code, such as grass code (sandi rumput), chemical code (sandi kimia), water code (sandi air), saw code (sandi gergaji), sandi awan (cloud code), wave code (sandi ombak), column code (sandi gedung bertingkat), etc.
Most of those codes redefine morse code with different way in written form, but generally they apply the same rules, such as:
1.      Short line to replace a dot
2.      Tall line to replace a dash
3.      Stripe or pause to separate each character
